It seems that Kashmir is unable to stay out of headlines for all the wrong reasons. The NIT issue is not even resolved yet with thousands of youth leaving the state heading back to their homes, a fresh wave of violence has seem to hit the state hard.

A group of protestors were allegedly protesting against the death of 3 civilians who were killed in a firing from the armed security forces. The 3 men were protesting against a soldier who had allegedly molested a teenage school girl in Handwara village. The agitation turned ugly when a young man died in the protest when police arrived on the scene and a clash took place between them. The incident took place yesterday, and starting today, all internet services have been shut down in the area in order to curb the rumors and handle the situation better.

Following the tension in the state, chief minister Mufti paid a visit to the PM Modi and Defence minister Parrikar asking them to conduct a "time bound" investigation in the matter. Not only this, strict restrictions have been imposed in Kupwara town, Kralgund, Handwara, Magam and Langate areas in north Kashmir and six police station areas of Srinagar city where several incidents of stone pelting were reported earlier. Roads have been blocked and market remained overall closed. A curfew has been imposed in Srinagar.

"The incident will be investigated and anybody found guilty will be severely dealt with," Indian army commander Lt. Gen. D.S. Hooda said in a statement, reports dunyanews.

On the other hand police personnel have reported that over 110 of his men have been injured during the massive clashes that took place in various parts of the city.

Separatist group on the other hand are calling for another strike on Thursday.
