Royal Tour: Kate Middleton And Prince William Arrive In Mumbai

The royal couple, Kate Middleton and Prince William have arrived Mumbai and�are staying at the Taj Mahal Palace which was stormed by terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba in 2008. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge�have laid a wreath to commemorate those killed in the 2008 terror attacks.�The picture below shows�show the royal couple bowing their heads as they stand in front of wreath of lilies and 32 burning candles.�A message read: ?In memory of those who lost their lives and those injured in the senseless atrocities at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.�William, Catherine."� Following that, a�special lunch was prepared by�Taj Mahal Palace chef Raghu Deora. He�cooked a royal vegetarian�feast for the couple.�They�served vegetable kebabs, lentil curry and rice, ricotta cheese and okra at a private lunch in the hotel.�The chef, who was shot in the leg during the terror attacks, said: ?It is all vegetarian because I was told that was what they preferred.?

Prince William and Kate are touring�India to visit the Mumbai slums and attend a glittering Bollywood dinner.�They will be guests of honour tonight at a Bollywood evening held in the once bombed Taj Mahal Palace Hotel Mumbai, which is owned by the Tata family also owners of Tata Steel.�The couple are spending the night at the hotel but chose not to stay in the�15-room Presidential Suite where Obama stayed in 2010, which is also called the Tata Suite. Instead they have�opted for a more modest suite for them and members of their 11-strong entourage.�They�will begin in Mumbai, where they will observe�a cricket match, meet with local NGOs, visit a slum, attend a charity gala reception and dine�with an A-list of stars including�cricket legend Sachin�Tendulkar�and Bollywood actors Shah Rukh�Khan�and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which according to India Today is�?modern India?s version of Royalty,?.�The royal couple will also be visiting Delhi, Agra and Bhutan during their 7-day tour.�
